It is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and the second-largest in the world, after Nike. Adidas takes its name from its founder name: Adi Dassler. However, there is an urban myth that propagates the backronym All Day I Dream About Sports. Adidas brand also tells a very interesting history and is famous for the Dassler brothers’ entrepreneurial spirit back in 1936 when they persuaded U.S. sprinter Jesse Owens to use his handmade sneakers at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
